    The Football Diver Sniper Redux


    Football cheats sniped. Had to disable comments this time because I got BORED with the same old comments-”That wasn’t a dive” and “OMG! The bullet went THROUGH the referee!” etc etc etc

  • I remember playing air hockey as a kid, and having a lot of fun, though I do not remember having any specific guidelines that we played by, we just went at it in fierce (but fun) competition. Air hockey tables had been around for less than eight years when air hockey became a competitive sport. Rules and game play are governed by the USAA (United States Air-Table-Hockey Association). For tournament play, only the 8 foot air hockey tables manufactured by Dynamo are sanctioned. Approved tables include the Photon, Pro-Style, older Blue Top, Brown Top, Purple Top or Black Top with unpainted rails.

  • Following hot on the heels of their success at the recent BUCS Championships, the forthcoming men’s and women’s national league basketball fixtures will be broadcast live. The live broadcast will begin at 4pm on Saturday 20 March at www.leedsmet.ac.uk/bigscreen. Following the live screening, full match highlights of the games will be then available to view via the University’s You Tube channel. After the successful screening of a BUCS Netball fixture earlier in the season, students from the Innovation North faculty will be involved in broadcasting the two games via the internet this weekend as part of Carnegie Sports Weekly Live. The women’s side host Sheffield Hatters at 4pm on Saturday before the men compete in a top of the table National League 1 fixture against Derby Trailblazers at 6pm. After the success of both sides at the recent BUCS Championships in Sheffield, confidence is high in the camp, although as coach Matt Newby explains, they won’t be taking anything for granted: “Following an exciting weekend for Leeds Metropolitan University Basketball at the BUCS Championships the Men will now have to focus on arguable the most important weekend of the National League Season.” “We have to acknowledge that the three games we played this weekend were some of the most challenging we have been involved in all season. We showed that we can stand toe to toe with high quality teams and closeout games even when we have taken a few knocks which is something I may not have said
